๐ Our next nurse to share with you this month is Head Nurse Katie ๐
๐Katie started at our Meopham Hospital as a Student Nurse in September 2012 and qualified as an RVN in July 2015 ๐Katie was appointed Head Nurse in 2019 having been charge of running our busy theatres prior to this ๐As well as her clinical roles, Katie has many admin roles that she undertakes to keep the hospital and branches running smoothly ๐When nursing, Katie has a particular interest in anaesthesia
Frank has been visiting our Swanscombe branch recently for socialisation consults with RVNโs Tracey & Sarah.
Initially, Frank was very weary and nervous when visiting. He was very fearful of being in the practice and would not take treats or interact with staff.
Together, with Frankโs owners, a plan was made to help Frank overcome his fear of the vets. Through lots of positive interactions, finding out his loves (toys & treats!) and working slowly with Frank at his own pace, we were able to form a bond which allowed Frank to feel much happier when coming to the vets.
Frank now pulls his owner into reception and is always happy to have a treat and fuss from whoever is in reception.
Socialisation consults are free, and are available at all branches. Please call your local branch to book an appointment.
I need these visits with one of mine, she is absolutely petrified and we had a big struggle with getting bloods from her last year. I would really appreciate being able just to pop in and try to make her feel relaxed at the vets as the only time she has ever visited she has had to have bloods etc
I would like to thank the vet Bruce McLeary, and all the nurses at Meopham vets for all their quick and caring response, to my bitch Misty who had an emergency caesarian today and looked after my bitch and her pups fantastically thank you to you all

To all pet owners looking for the very best in vet advice and care then book your pet in here, we have used The Swanscombe & Meopham Surgeries since 2006 after re-homing our Sophie from Cats Protection & the rest of her life was never free from health problems. When Sophie had to stay in at the vets I visited her daily & the cages were spotless, clean blankets & nurses on continual attendance. We can't say enough about all the staff, they treated her like a part of their family.

Thank you to all at Meopham Veterinary Hospital for looking after Ted & Hector as well as if they were your own puppies. I always know that they will get the best care, and am sure Ted would not be here at all if it weren't for you guys. Ted & Hector are the light of our lives, so your exemplary care of them is, to us, priceless. Thank you.
The Robinson family
Great skills, great care, great service and understanding.

I have been a client, with my various dogs, since 1999 and can honestly say that I have been totally satisfied with Meopham Vets throughout this time. The care and consideration shown to our dogs has been amazing. I usually try to see Martin as I have known him so long, but I have no objection to seeing any of the vets as they all have the same qualities, especially Bruce. The nurses are all wonderful and over the years I have become close to some of them and have watched as they have developed their careers under the guidance of Martin. The reception / office staff are brilliant too and I have never had a problem getting appointments. The out of hours service is second to none. My dogs throughout their lives have been looked after and loved by all the staff and when it has come to the final goodbyes they and I have been treated with amazing sensitivity and kindness. In a nutshell, I could not recommend this practice highly enough.

A big thank you for looking after our pets over the years, all 22 of them! We think you can all perform miracles. In sad times the impossible cannot always we done but you have all given us the strength and helped us to cope once again. Thank you all.
Mrs Kinch
Service is always the best. Everyone cares for your pet as if it's their own.
Mrs Parker
Absolutely first class care, always.
Mrs Hocking
Freddie has completed 10 hydrotherapy sessions following TPLO surgery to repair his ruptured cruciate ligament. Freddie is now back to his normal self and has regained his strength which exceeded all our expectations. He has suffered with bad skin for years and we were worried that the sessions would have a detrimental effect however his skin has never been better! He now enjoys coming into the vets and he adores hydrotherapist Amy! We are thrilled with his progress and would thoroughly recommend hydrotherapy to others.
Mrs Cooper
Thank you all on behalf of ESSW for the wonderful care and superb treatment that Eesha has received over the last weeks. She is such a lovely girl and truly deserved every bit of it!
